BMW 3 Series

The BMW 3 Series is a compact executive car manufactured by the German automaker BMW since May 1975. The BMW E30 is a compact executive car with rear-wheel-drive layout produced by BMW, successor to the BMW New Class, it has been produced in six different generations and in five different body styles.

The E30 was sold from 1982 through 1991 in saloon form, and through 1993 in convertible form. In September 1987, BMW introduced a major update to the E30 (often called "Series 2" or "update"). The changes to the lineup were the addition of the touring (station wagon) variant and removal of the 325e model.
